Cathy Rowan MA Transpersonal Counselling
As an individual member of the UKCP. I am bound by its ethical framework for good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the professional conduct procedure therein
I usually work with individual adults and have worked with those who have come with a variety of issues or a general sense that life is not what they would like it to be.
The aim of counselling is to help you express and clarify your thoughts and feelings. It may help you reduce confusion and to find your own inner resources. It may involve exploring your past, your present challenges and the meaning of your unique experience. The basic skills such as attentive listening are used. I may also work with art, dreams and active imagination if this is appropriate, which may be a source of understanding and guidance.
