The house photographed in 1897 when it was set aside for doctors and surgeons who worked across the street at the Royal Berks. Hospital, it stayed residential right up til 1974.

In 1974 the house changed to commercial status with KRA consulting engineers(formerly Kenneth Rowe Associates) moving in and working there til 1994 when the practice relocated to Wokingham

Background to Life Story by the founders Don and Shen now resident in New Zealand 

Foundered 1992 by Don Smart and Shen Elderton who had the vision and awareness to realise that there existed a need to support all the community with the provision of low cost or free therapy.

They started in Wallingford with an informal group they soon realised the potential for such a cooperative of psychotherapists, cousellors, trainers and natural health therapists.

With a strong belief in a holistic approach - promoting healthy mind and spirit and having these services as complimentary to conventional medicine.

Our logo

This is Chinese Caligraphy from the ancient book of wisdom which means stillness and keeping still. Through it's stillness, the kind that would be felt beside a mountain. It becomes possible to gain a clear view of the situation, to focus on the present and to choose from this place what action may be needed.
