As a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) I am bound by its ethical framework for good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the professional conduct procedure
With over seven years of experience, Leanne has spent a number of years in the NHS working in various areas such as mental health (primary and secondary care) older adults and eating disorders. She has also volunteered in an independent counselling agency and in a charity working therapeutically with children. More recently Leanne has worked in a palliative care setting with adults facing life-limiting illness and their carers and relatives. She now divides her time between private practice and working in the NHS.
Leanne’s training and clinical experience allows her to consider each client from a number of different perspectives (E.g. CBT, psychodynamic, humanistic and mindfulness models) this allows for an holistic and individual approach within a non-judgemental and empathic therapeutic relationship.Leanne’s aim is to enable and empower clients to become more of their own therapist, to develop new tools and ways of being that allow change, growth, resilience and self-compassion
