
Dr (TCM) Attilio D'Alberto - Acupuncturist
Attilio graduated from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a Bachelor of Medicine and from Middlesex University with a BSc (Hons) in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
The full time, five year degree included extensive study of western medicine, three years clinical experience and six months internship at two of the largest hospitals in Beijing, China. It is considered to be the most comprehensive degree program in the UK and Europe.
Since graduating several years ago, Attilio had many articles published in medical journals, healthcare magazines and medical web sites.
Attilio is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAC), The Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ATCM) and the British Fertility Society (BFS). All members are bound by a strict code of ethics and conduct and are legally insured.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the ancient healing art of inserting very fine needles into specific points along pathways on the body to activate the Qi (energy). The flow of Qi can be disrupted by many ways, i.e. emotions, poor diet, overwork, trauma, stress, etc. Acupuncture acts to restore the natural flow of Qi bringing a holistic balance back to the body.
Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbalism is the oldest continually practised medical profession in the world. Herbs are made up of leaves, stems, bark, roots or seeds. They each have a unique action. Cleverly combined together to perfectly suit each individual, they perform a multitude of tasks and help bring a holistic balance back to the whole body.
