Ms Jane Buckley - Counsellor
As an individual member of the BACP. I am bound by its ethical framework for good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the professional conduct procedure therein
As an experienced counsellor I have worked within the NHS Employees Well Being Service and the Counselling Service at Cardiff University. I now work in private practice working with individuals with a variety of needs.
With vast experience of working within the NHS, as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) and Registered Sick Children’s Nurse (RSCN), I am able to understand the impact of chronic illness on a person’s wellbeing.
Whilst I work with clients in many areas, I also have considerable experience in helping people overcome eating difficulties and have additional Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) training in Eating Disorders.
One of the main aims of counselling is to enable people to gain a perspective about their problems. Working with you, I can help you to identify the difficulties that maybe preventing you from moving forward in your life.
By providing a safe, confidential, non judgemental space for you to talk freely about your problems, I will help you to feel empowered to make changes in your life that will allow you to find that way forward. Together, this can be achieved by enabling you to understand and accept yourself by changing thoughts and behaviour patterns that are currently causing you difficulties.
