Prior to 1993, I lived in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa with an abundance of sunshine and locally gown organic food. Within months of moving to the UK, severe migraines, digestive problems and arthritis prompted me to research links between lifestyle habits and health. There appeared to be overwhelming evidence linking poor nutritional choices, toxic accumulation in the colon, stress mismanagement and a sedentary lifestyle to the causes of many diseases and disorders including cancer.
A family history of digestive cancer led to the study of anatomy & physiology and various holistic therapies over a period of 20 years to address my own health issues; Including Ayurvedic remedies that I had been exposed to in my early childhood.
Jon Barron’s Book “Lessons from the Miracle Doctors”, Dr Robert Young’s PH Miracle and Anthony Robbins’s Philosophy of Health and the spirit mind and body synergies were key influences in my journey of healing.
As a result of implementing changes, painful arthritic inflammation in the fingers reduced significantly, regular headaches disappeared and my energy levels increased considerably.
My understanding of the logical cause and effect synergism of the human body combined with my experience gave me a passion to develop this awareness in others in my spare time.
A successful career in Business Development and Economic and Social regeneration in the public sector kept me from taking it further.
In 2007, the death of two people very near and dear to me through digestive cancer prompted me to take action. Having formalised my knowledge via an IACT Qualification in Colon Hydrotherapy, I set up Body Vibrant with a friend and a colleague who shares the same passion.
My life experience in a professional and personal capacity puts me in a unique position to offer our clients the benefits of this learning.
